Burlington is where Bad Axe Throwing started! It was our very first location and where you can get an authentic and thrilling axe throwing experience. With perfect 5 star ratings across the board, we’re ranked as the top fun & games destination on TripAdvisor.

We’re conveniently located off of Guelph line, just a few minutes from the highway and Burlington Mall, on Fairview Street. Our location features one of the best design graffiti spaces of all our venues across North America designed by local artists. We serve the Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Waterdown areas.

Our instructors Nino, Morgan, Erica, Amanda and other expert axe throwing coaches will make it super easy for you to pick up the art of hurling an axe. During your group event, you will have a dedicated axe throwing coach that will help you learn how to throw an axe, have fun games, tournaments and teach you awesome trick shots.

Bring your friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances, dates and people you want to have a great time with, to the only place in the Halton region where you can have such an exhilarating experience.

Don’t forget, you can bring your own food, beverages and music.

Axe Throwing League Information

We're a part of The World Axe Throwing League (WATL). Check out the Axe Throwing League. section of our website to sign up. It's only $15/week and you get to compete against local axe throwers and people all over the world. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

Our axe throwing league will run for 8 weeks. You will be allowed to have practice throws and warm up (be there on time or early). For the first 7 weeks everyone will get at least 40 competitive throws per night.

Your score for each throw will be tallied and recorded. This will ensure that we're not ranking you based on who you go up against, rather, your skills at hitting the bullseye to get top scores. They will then make it to the Championship Tournament in week 8 to determine the Axe Throwing League Champion!

Spectator Information

People are more than welcome to come and cheer on their friends and family at no additional cost to them.

Other Information

If you'd like to make a booking, group events are by appointment only. But we also offer occasional walk-in sessions. Make sure to check out our walk in calendar in advance to see when you can come hang out!

We're a cashless business - not in the sense that we're completely broke, but we only accept credit cards on-site. This means no dinero por favor. AMEX, Visa, Mastercard are gladly accepted. Diner's Cards are too, if anyone still uses them.

We can host groups as small as 8, and if you're really popular, we can accommodate up to 70 of your family and friends!

If you are looking to book on a weekend, then you should book at least 4 weeks in advance. If you are looking to book on a weekday, then you should book at least 1-2 weeks in advance. It all depends: summer time has a bit more flexibility, any other time is pretty busy.

We suggest you wear something comfortable, as in, NO HIGH HEELS. Wear something you'd wear if you wanted to ruin someone's wedding - close-toed sneakers, a comfortable shirt you can throw stuff in, and comfy pants. Heck, wear plaid! Yes, make everyone wear plaid!

You can cater in, order or have your mother drop off some cookies and milk. It's all included in your entry fee - feel free to bring your own food and drinks.

We have mini-fridges that you're more than welcome to use to store drinks and food during your event.

Our talented and amazing axe throwing coaches will be there to help teach you and hone in on making tweaks to your technique so you can properly throw an axe. There will be a brief orientation at the beginning of your event where you'll be shown how to throw an axe.
